COPPER TOP DINING TABLE - JAN’S DESIGN REQUIREMENTS

Jan had been looking for THE table base of her dreams for a very long time and was thrilled to find the MIA wood table base. She had to have it. Jan had a wood top dining table; she loved the wood top not the base. She initially only wanted to replace the base. We went back and forth and she decided that she would get a copper top with the base, and she would make the decision when she received the copper top and MIA base if she wanted to use her existing wood table top on the MIA base or the copper top on the MIA base. We put a color board together for her approval using the color of her existing wood table top to color coordinate with the MIA table base. As it turned out, our excellent carpenter Juan was not able to match her existing table base color using Oak as we had planned. He was, however, able to match both the wood grain and color with Tzalam by simply applying a satin, polyurethane finish coat over the raw wood. And Voila, the perfect match. The finished height Jan wanted was only 27" high. So, now we have in our repertoire a "mini" Mia.
