Finish: Base is chemically “purified” to create paint surface more rust resistant for outdoor environment. Rust resistant primer is applied as a base coat.
COPPER TOP TABLE - HALEH’S DESIGN REQUIREMENTS
Haleh wanted a large table for outside parties. She was attracted to the Consuela, double-forged base. Because the base would be subjected to the elements, she decided that the double forging was not a good idea due to the moisture collecting in the crevices and opted for the Consuela design without the double forging. She also decided that preparing the iron for the elements using special chemicals and rust resistant paint was a good idea for her application instead of the powder coating finish. In addition, we used polyurethane on the substrate MDF to further insure moisture resistance. We are extremely satisfied with the result. It is a truly gorgeous and "center-stage" table design. The table base is exceptional!
